Miss Ghana Foundation donates to Teshie Orphanage

The exercise is the first in the series of charity activities planned as part of the foundation’s, Food for the Needy, project geared towards giving healthily prepared meals to thousands of needy persons.

Last week Saturday, about 50 children were given meals from Novotel. They were also given soft drinks, pillows, used clothings and bottled water.

Madam Janet Anyeley Parker, an official of the orphanage thanked the foundation for the gesture.

The orphans, she said, were pleased with the donation, adding they appreciated the continued support of the foundation and the office of Miss Ghana to the orphanage.

The Chief Operating Officer of the Miss Ghana Foundation and Exclusive Events, Mr Samuel Borkorvie, reiterated what the foundation stood for, and how important the Food for the Needy project is to its vision.

Miss Ghana 2014, Nadia Ntanu, used the opportunity to call on other restaurants and hotels to partner the Miss Ghana Foundation to sustain the Food for the Needy project.

Mr Borkorvie further expressed the foundation’s appreciation to all partners; Novotel Ghana, IPMC, Special Ice Mineral water and individuals for coming aboard The Food for the Needy Project.

The Miss Ghana Foundation is the charity arm of the Miss Ghana beauty pageant.
