Barima Sidney talks about 'Papa No'
When it comes to capitalising on trending issues to compose songs, not many can beat Hiplife musician Barima Sidney.
And after closely following the brouhaha involving actress Tracey Boakye and Hiplife artiste Mzbel, he is out with a new song titled Papa No basically asking who the man the two ladies are fighting over is.
On the song, recorded by Wei Ye Oteng of Oteng Studios and released on Friday, August 14, Barima Sidney says everyone is looking for the mystery man.
He says it’s about time these ‘big’ men stopped disturbing the young girls and allow the young guys to marry them.
A danceable tune with a catchy chorus, the two-minute song is great and this writer has no doubt it will be a banger soon.
Speaking with Graphic Showbiz, Barima Sidney said the song is just to entertain his fans who keep asking a new song from him.
“It took me just two hours to write this song and record with sound engineer Oteng who did a fantastic job. I was just having fun with this little piece I wrote and I must say I am impressed with the final product,” he said.
According to Barima Sidney, who is known for other songs such as Scent No, African Money, Efuru Ponkor, Colour TV, Who Born Dog, Enko Yie and Time Aso, he just took advantage of what was going on between Mzbel and Tracey Boakye.
He explained that Papa No is not any serious song. “You know there are serious songs and others just for fun and Papa No is just for fun. On the other side I have other great tunes I will be releasing next month,” he stated.
