It’s Matyme

It is said that there is time for everything under the sun and that is the belief of young rapper and singer, Matyme, who says his “time is now to shine for the world to know what great talent he has got”.

The upcoming artiste who is out with his debut song, Keduwa, told Showbiz last week Thursday that he has taken much time as an underground artiste to learn the rudiment of the game and he is ready to excel.

He said that even though he acknowledges that the industry is flooded with great talents, he is hopeful that Keduwa will shoot him into the limelight.

Keduwa is an Azonto rhythm which talks about how men can fall in love passionately with one woman contrary to the perception that all men are cheats.

The 20-year-old who started music back in Junior High School said he always picked up important issues about life for his music.

Matyme whose real name is Odame Edmond said that though he started music at an early age as a hobby, he decided to take it serious and take it to the professional level following the good comments and commendations he had from friends anytime he performed on stage in Senior High School.

Currently promoting Keduwa which he released online last month, Matyme encouraged his fans to download the music on Twitter, Facebook and Urban Roll.

The Kumasi based rapper believes that creativity is the hallmark of a successful artiste therefore, he is going to “walk with that rod of creativity” to do more for ample recognition in the industry.
