Iyk Wonder challenges Eze to a music contest
Call it a “war” between two Naija brothers and you would not be far from the truth as KB Empire signed artiste, Iyk Wonder calls popular Ghana based Nigerian artiste, Eze, to a music contest.
“My elder brother, Eze, has on countless occasions bragged about being the best Nigerian music talent in Ghana which I believe is a figment of his imagination.
“If he thinks he’s the best, I’m challenging him to a live radio contest or live performance to prove who the better artiste is,” the African Light artiste told Showbiz in an interview recently.
Iyk Wonder believes Jonathan Eze Nkwadinobi, popularly known as Eze has been over pampered in Ghana resulting in him calling out on Ghanaian artistes at the least opportunity.
For him, his recent attack on Shatta Wale and Sarkodie as being unpopular in Nigeria is just an attempt to discredit the works of the two award winning artistes who are making huge impact in Nigeria.
“Currently, Sarkodie and Castro’s Adonai track is being used by a lot of Nigerians as ringtones. It is a banger in the clubs even after three years of its release.
“Haven’t we all witnessed the successes of the various collaborations Sarkodie has done with some big artistes in Nigeria. At least, we are still enjoying No Kissing which he did with Patoranking. So what is my brother saying?” he queried.
The Supa Bet artiste futher argued that if Eze believes he’s an artiste worth his salt to criticise the potentials of Shatta Wale and Sarkodie, then he should honour his challenge.
He was, however, quick to add that the challenge wasn’t to disrespect Eze but to “set the records straight”.
Currently, one of the promising Nigerian artistes in Ghana whose song, Mr DJ is making waves in the country; he started his music journey with the release of African Light earlier this year.
He followed it up with Supa Bet and that he said, gave him the needed recognition to “launch my full time music career”.
And to stay true to his word, the young man who hails from Abra State in Nigeria released Plenty Wives last month and hopes to attract the warm reception of Ghanaians as he makes his way to stardom after being featured on a number of songs including Kwaw Kese’s Masa Abeg and Guru’s Baba God.
