JJ Gonami spits fire
To mark his birthday celebration, the Volta based artiste, JJ Gonami, released a new song titled, Fire on May 25. The song, which is the fifth off his Unbreakable album was produced by Eddykaybeatz.
The song talks about the difficulties of life and the unstable economic situation Ghanaians are enduring.
In the song, JJ Gonami sings about how fire will burn those at the helm of affairs who are misappropriating funds at the expense of the ordinary citizen who crave for good governance to survive.
On what inspired him to write the song, JJ Gonami said, “The hardship we are facing in this country now is what inspired me to write this song. Our economic situation is in a critical condition which makes life so unbearable for some of us.
I want to draw the attention of our leaders to the difficult situation they are putting us through and want to use the platform I have to address them. We need change because the youth are suffering and unfortunately, their cries are not being heard by those who should attend to them. This is unfortunate but that is what we are facing now,” he said in an interview with Showbiz on Friday.
He hinted on plans to release a new song called Busy Men which features American rapper, XB2D,.
“I want my fans to keep on believing in me, they should support me because I am coming out with more lovable and danceable songs. I want my new song to be dope and I can assure them that the song will quench their thirst for good tunes,” he added.
The Voltarian ‘supremo’ has songs such as Unbreakable, Madly in Love, Money, Bless Me featuring Keeny Ice and Asirifi, and Fire to his credit.
