Actor Ekow Blankson has passed on.
He was 50.
He was taken to hospital on Sunday after a short illness and passed on on Monday morning.
Circumstances surrounding his passing are not very clear as of now but colleagues such as veteran highlife artiste Rex Omar and stakeholders in the creative industry have started paying tribute.
The late actor was born on March 16, 1972 and, he has left his footprint in the Ghanaian media space.
Ekow Blankson won admiration for his roles in a number of movies such as Borga, Frozen Emotion, Savannah, In April, Checkmate, Illusions, A Woman Scorned, Pool Party and Famous.
Additionally, he contributed to school-related projects, one of which being a Lords Production of GH Schools on the movie Breath Vengeance, for which he was nominated for the GH Student's Movie Awards' Best Adult Male Role.
Aside acting, Mr Blankson was the Commercial Manager of Ghanaweb.
He also worked with Multimedia Broadcasting Company and held positions such as Director of brands, corporate communications and General Manager of Luv FM and Nhyira FM in Kumasi and also worked with many other media firms such as TV Africa, Media General Ghana Limited.
Ekow died on October 3, 2022.
