Badingu readies for Welcome to Upper West album
ALL is set for Reggae artiste, Badingu to release his latest album, Welcome to Upper West this month.
The 11-track upcoming album made up of Reggae and Afrobeats songs is intended to throw a spotlight on the tourist attractions in the Upper West Region as well as promote its rich culture and traditions.
Songs on the album are Ebalabangma ft. Tinogh, Angbataayela, Nnugna, Ye Bahi ft. Best Ghally, Sungdong, Woman Is the Key ft. Kawutey.

The rest are the title track, Welcome to Upper West ft. Samson B Gyemang, Baahaa, Daana, Eyong ft Gachious, We Keep On Moving ft Tinogh.
In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Bandigu stated that the Welcome to Upper West album was inspired by his desire to show the world the vast array of undiscovered tourist destinations in the region and how they can be explored to the region's benefit.
"The inspiration behind the album is to welcome everyone to the Upper West Region of Ghana and to promote its beautiful tourist centres as well as let the world know about our beautiful culture and traditions.
"Truthfully, the number of tourist attractions in the region have not been well explored and I am certain when people listen to the songs on the album, they will begin to appreciate the beauty of the Upper West Region.”
Badingu, born Ibrahim Moomin Badingu is a protégé of Ghanaian Highlife artiste Amandzeba and has featured on the works of renowned artistes from Northern Ghana such as King Ayisoba and Abu Sadiq.
In addition to releasing his upcoming album which is one of his major projects this year, Badingu told Graphic Showbiz he is also making preparations to tour the world with the album.

"I hope to become a household name in Ghana and even cross borders because I feel my music will make huge impact given the kind of messages I promote.
“I know it will not come on a silver platter but with hard work, determination plus huge support, this dream of being a global music icon will be realised”, he stated.
