Bloggers should show ‘human face’ in their works -Kobby Kyei
Renowned blogger, Kobby Kyei is encouraging his colleague bloggers to lessen their target on sensational stories which has the tendency of destroying the hard won reputation of the people they write about.
Speaking on the Graphic Showbiz Twitter(X) Dialogue Series held today, August 31, Kobby Kyei mentioned that even though he’s not had any formal education in journalism, his own research to enlighten him about his chosen field of work, has taught him that it’s not every truth that is and should be told because it’s news worthy.

“It appears that everybody is looking at the sensationalism part of this job but I also think that we have to put a human face to some of the things we write about. I have never been to a journalism school but the bit of education I have read online has taught me that even though the information may be true, we must also be human to the feelings of those we are writing about.
“So if you are going to put a story out there that it is going to destroy somebody, or reduce the reputation of the person, you must consider and show the human side of you. I think there are many things we can do to change the narrative,” he said.
In the last decade or more, blogging has become a part of the creative industry and their influence cannot be underestimated.
Hence, the Graphic Showbiz Twitter(X) Dialogue series on the theme, “Influence of bloggers on the creative industry”, sought to among other things highlight and put into perspective the instrumental roles of bloggers in the creative space.
The Twitter Dialogue Series which had Ameyaw Debrah, Kobby Kyei, Yemme Baba and Eric Toscar as speakers also brought to light some of the daily challenges faced by bloggers in their line of work.
The speakers commended bloggers for bringing huge attention to the creative industry through their daily reports.
