Boadiwaa set to fly high at ‘MTN Choralfest’

She may not be among the best-known names on the gospel music scene here for now but the songstress referred to simply as Boadiwaa is a hard- working and compelling performer who deserves bigger attention.

Those who may doubt this assertion can catch her at the second edition of the MTN Choralfest programme slated for Easter Sunday, April 20 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Boadiwaa’s abilities as a vigorous worship leader and song minister are evident on her debut nine-track Utawaala Wa Neema (The Reign of Grace in Swahili) album launched in Accra last October.

She clearly demonstrates through her songs, how a spirit-filled singer can penetrate hearts with the word of  God and is yearning to bless the audience with her potent music at the 2014 Choralfest.

Other singers to appear at the event are Cecilia Marfo, OJ, Ernest Opoku, Kay Bee from  MTN Hitmaker II, Ceccy Twum and Miriam from MTN Hitmaker I.

The evening would be time for renditions by some carefully chosen choirs who  believe they are among the best in this country.

The choirs ready to rumble at MTN Choralfest are Winneba Youth Choir, Harmonius Chorale, Dansoman Youth Choir,  Olivet Voices and the M Praise Choir.

A side attraction at the show would be a choreographed performance on the story of salvation by the National Dance Company.

“We are putting on a show to touch people with the message of Easter but it will be extremely entertaining,” said an MTN source.

MTN Choralfest 2014 is being  supported by Pepsi proceeds from the event will be donated to charity.
