Out of the field of 10 finalists, Ms Farouza Nasara Bawah, a graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), pulled  through to win the crown. Her prize package included GH¢ 20,000 to start a business of her own.

Ms Afi Suda Alormasor, a Level  200 student of the University of Ghana, Legon, snatched the second position while  Cil-vya Nana Ama Awabea, a Level 200 student of the the KNUST, placed third.  They were  to receive GH¢15,000 and GH¢10,000 respectively to also start their own businesses.

It was not a typical night of young ladies showing off their bodies as is the case with several other pageants.   The contestants had to, among other things, exhibit  ample grasp of   business ideas and plans.

They made business presentations which endeared   them to the hearts of the patrons, as well as the  three judges: Music producer/ engineer, Appietus; Music producer/promoter and artiste manager,  Paa Kwesi Holdbrook-Smith and Mrs Evelyn Anthony, a Director at the Ministry of Information and Media Relations.

The first segment of the show, which had some local entrepreneurs in attendance, saw the contestants do a power point presentation of  business proposals. They were later called back on stage to answer questions posed by the judges.

After this section, the judges selected the top three based on their scores. Farouza’s business plan on African costumes came top, earning her the ultimate title and prize.

The ‘business’ atmosphere was laced with performances by hiplife artiste, Sodeef and up- and- coming comedian, Rooch.

According to the organisers, A2Z Firm Movement, the pageant was put together to whip up the interest of Ghanaians, especially the youth, to develop the habit of patronising made- in- Ghana goods.  It is also to enhance the campaign for the production and patronage of local goods.
