Di Asa Season 4: 49 compete for car and bragging rights
Season 4 of the popular dance reality show, Di Asa, has kicked off with the unveiling of the plus size women who will be competing for the top prize.
This year, 49 women are contesting in the show, organised by Atinka Media Village (AMV) to engage plus size women who have a passion for dancing to not only show of their moves to entertain audiences, but to take up healthy lifestyles.
Of course it helps that there are some attractive prizes to dance for and since its inception in 2017, Di Asa, which targets mainly market women, has won over viewers who eagerly vote for their favourites.
Like has been done every year, this year's auditions took the organisers across the 16 regions of the country where they had quite the task selecting the contestants.
Last Friday, October 16, the contestants were unveiled with an arrival party held at Kotobabi. After all 49 arrived safely, they were all taken through the COVID-19 tests before entering the Di Asa house.
With food and drinks flowing and a live band dishing out great tunes, there was a lot of excitement in the air and the contestants expressed their appreciation at being given the opportunity to show their talent to Ghana and the world at large.
They promised to give off their best to help take the competition to the next level and they will have the opportunity to do so when the freestyle sessions start on Wednesday, October 21.

This year's edition is dubbed: “Staying Safe through Entertainment" and the winner will take home a saloon car, the first runner-up will get a mini truck while the second runner-up will receive a tricycle popularly known as "Aboboyaa."
A trip to Dubai for the winners as well as sponsors' products are also part of the prizes.
In 2017, Love Newton won the maiden edition of Di Asa, in 2018 it was Abi and in 2019, PM was crowned the winner.
There was controversy however when PM missed out on the Dubai trip as Emirates Airlines reportedly did not allow her on their flight because of her size.
