With 2015 looming, there are sure to be many frenzied conferences around the world looking at the achievements of many countries in relation to the Millennium Development Goals(MDGs).

The MDGs are eight international development goals that were established following the Millennium Summit of the United Nations in 2000, following the adoption of the United Nations Millennium Declaration. All United Nations member states and at least 23 international organisations, are committed to help achieve the goals by 2015.

Ms Reindorf, who recently graduated in art, has stepped onto the scene combining her fabric design skills to express her concern about those targets.

Just as is prevalent within traditional wax print context, her designs have been made and titled to draw the attention of the wearer and the viewer to the inherent meanings.

One of the eye-catching designs that Ms Reindorf has used her skills to create pulls attention to environmental and health issues. It is titled ‘Agbogbloshie.’

The intricate and meticulous methods employed by Ms Reindorf leave the viewer in no doubt about her skills with designs created manually,  with  digital technology and then with traditional wax resist methods employed in batik fabric design process.

The exhibition is on till January 30, 2015 from 10.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. each day.
