Ghana launches "Party on the Field": A celebration of Amapiano and Afro-beats extravaganza

The vibrant and pulsating beats of Amapiano and Afro-beats took centre stage as Ghana launched "Party on the Field," the largest festival dedicated to celebrating African sound and culture on a global scale.

This all-encompassing vacation and holiday event promises an unparalleled experience, featuring a stellar lineup of talented creatives delivering world-class live performances and DJ sets from influential Amapiano and Afro-beats heavyweights.

The organizers of "Party on the Field" have set out to create an immersive experience that transcends music, embracing food, art, and culture. Beyond the celebration, the festival aims to promote tourism and encourage investments within the sub-region. The event drew an impressive audience, including members of the Diplomatic Corp, ambassadors, children of elites, wealthy families, children of presidents from the continent, top CEOs, rich Diasporians, and industrialists.

"Party on the Field" unfolds with various sub-events, including the "Day Out Party," "Francophone Night," "Beach Front," and "Dunkfest."

Reflecting on the success of the "Year of Return, Ghana 2019," which invited the Global African family to mark 400 years since the arrival of the first enslaved Africans in Jamestown, Virginia, the organizers recognize the transformative potential of such gatherings. While diasporans embraced the opportunity, the festival aims to address the limited movement of Africans within the continent, fostering intra-African tourism and unlocking untapped opportunities.

The inaugural edition of the festival is set to be launched and hosted in Ghana, with plans for subsequent editions in other African countries. The event will showcase not only the rapid growth of Amapiano and Afro-beats but also a diverse array of local African cuisine, art, and culture.
