Good songs will always get gigs —Nana Yaw Asare
It's been more than five years since Gospel musician Nana Yaw Asare released a new song but because of the good songs from his repertoire, he is one of the busiest artistes playing shows all over the country.
According to the Odomankoma hitmaker, although he is not loud on social media or makes noise about the gigs he is billed on, he is engaged to perform almost every weekend thanks to the quality songs he has to his credit.
“There is no church that I have not performed at and as we talk now, I still get a lot of invitations to perform at funerals, weddings and other high-profile events and I believe this is as a result of my good songs.”
“I sometimes meet artistes such as Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Tagoe Sisters, Yaw Sarpong at some of the events I am billed to perform and I believe it is because of the quality of songs we do”, he told Graphic Showbiz in a recent interview.
Thus, Nana Yaw Asare is advising musicians, especially the young ones to do quality music because it will go a long way to be beneficial to them in future.
“What is the point of doing music just for it to play for a little while and no one listens to it again or no one invites you to perform it at functions? he queried.
Nana Yaw Asare will mount the stage at Celestial Praiz slated for Monday, March 6, 2023 at the Victory Bible Church and he says it is going to be fire on the night.
“This is the first time performing at Celestial Praiz and the messages from my fans are just crazy. It shows that Ghanaians miss me very much and I am going to deliver on the day”, he promised.
Asked if he had something new baking in the oven yet, the father of four said he was almost done with his latest album.
He explained that the new piece of work which he would be dropping by the end of April has powerful songs.
