His latest offering is a danceable tune which hits on some social vices and also highlights the importance of fidelity in relationships.

Produced by Red Monsta under the Angel Records umbrella, Angwa Mo, talks about how some women are independent and would work hard to provide for themselves without any assistance from a man.

Rapped in Twi and Ga, DJ Young talks about the down to earth nature of his partner in the song.  This girl doesn’t like expensive things/ I tried to buy her Papaye but she rejected it/She always wants something inexpensive he raps Angwa Mo.

His not so impressive raps and ‘immature’ lyrics give DJ Young away as one who is still learning the rudiments of the game but the new artiste believes Angwa Mo has the potential to take him to the next level of  his career.

“In these difficult times, it is important to get a woman who has great home and economic management skills and I just wanted to extol the qualities of such women in the society. They help their partners build a good future” he said.

Real name, Mannan Odoi, DJ Young expressed his frustrations about the inability of underground artistes to get the assistance that will shoot them into the limelight.

“Underground artistes don’t get any support in this industry and we bear all the cost ourselves especially when you’re not signed onto any label. This is killing a lot of talent in the industry.

“I’ve lalso earnt to be humble because without humility, it’s impossible to even ask for help from people, especially DJs for favours. People keep talking about DJs taking Payola but I know  there are some DJs who don’t do that. If they see you as humble in addition to being talented, they help to push you”, he said.

DJ Young said he would be releasing another single, Streets of Alajo Freestyle in a few weeks.
