HoodTalk Festival positions Lali x Lola as champions of African child wellness on global stage

Organisers of the HoodTalk Music Festival 2026 have positioned Ghanaian twin music duo Lali x Lola as leading voices in advancing the African child wellness agenda as preparations intensify for this year's global event.

The duo, who recently enjoyed success at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), were also among the standout performers at the 2025 edition of the HoodTalk Festival.

Their growing influence in the music industry, coupled with their appeal among young audiences, has made them key ambassadors for the festival's mission to promote child wellness and social impact across Africa.

Festival organisers say the inclusion of Lali x Lola reflects HoodTalk's commitment to using music and entertainment as platforms to advocate for the well-being, empowerment, and development of children across the continent.

They are expected to once again leverage the HoodTalk platform to advocate for issues affecting children across the continent, while inspiring fellow artistes to use their influence for social impact.

According to organisers, HoodTalk is not merely a collaboration-driven event but a purpose-led platform that brings together influential creatives to champion child development, education, and opportunity through music and culture.

Founded by the DreamChild Foundation, the festival has evolved into a growing movement that blends entertainment with advocacy. Through music festivals and community engagements, it continues to promote the welfare and empowerment of young people across Africa.

Organisers highlighted that Lali x Lola’s vibrant appeal, strong connection with youth audiences, and message of confidence and creativity make them ideal ambassadors for the festival’s mission to uplift the African child. Following the group’s recent success at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).

Global event

Beyond its social impact, the HoodTalk Music Festival 2026 is also being positioned as a major global showcase for Ghanaian talent.

Scheduled for September 5, 2026, at Black Star Square in Accra, the event will be streamed to audiences in over 100 countries, offering artistes a unique opportunity to showcase their craft on the world stage.

“This is an opportunity for Ghanaian artistes to showcase their talent globally while supporting a meaningful cause,” organisers emphasised, noting that the platform encourages creatives to drive positive change through their work.

Organisers further indicated that HoodTalk is designed as a scalable festival brand rather than a one-off event, with strategic plans to expand into key African diaspora markets, including the United States, Nigeria, and the United Kingdom.

Youth-driven audience

The festival targets a diverse, youth-driven audience comprising university students, content creators, young professionals, and diaspora visitors underscoring its broad appeal among digitally active, trend-conscious, and globally connected Africans.

As momentum builds toward the 2026 edition, HoodTalk continues to distinguish itself not just as a music festival, but as a global advocacy platform committed to shaping a better future for the next generation of African leaders.
