I was buried to fight a spiritual sickness I suffered- Kweku Darlignton reveals

Kumasi-based musician, Kweku Darlington, has opened up about his harrowing experience with a mysterious and debilitating illness that left him bedridden for over a year.

In a candid interview on Joy Prime's Prime Morning show, he shared how the severity of the disease rendered him immobile and unable to engage in any activities, leading to a prolonged period of musical silence.

Initially, Darlington said he downplayed the symptoms, but as the condition worsened, he realised he was under spiritual attack and sought help which resulted in him being buried with his head up for a solution.

“It even came off my skin. It was so bad that I couldn’t even go out. I still have some of the marks on my skin. The whole idea was just to keep me inside so I couldn’t come outside because I’m dangerous when I’m outside. In a nutshell, I was buried with only my head out.

“It wasn’t a hospital thing but spiritual because it started with my eye. I went to the clinic, and they did everything they could do but didn’t find the cause. They gave me drugs and injections, spectacles, and other things, but nothing happened.

“So, it was a congregation that I used to join back at Atwea Mountains; I was there sometimes ago, and they were able to identify what was happening to me. So, after identifying it, we had to clear all of them before I could take drugs,” he stated.

Born Emmanuel Kweku Owusu Darlington, Kweku Darlington, is a Ghanaian musician, songwriter and producer from Kumasi.

He became popular with the hit song 'Sika Aba Fie' and released a remix of the song which featured Fameye, Kuami Eugene, Yaw Tog and Kweku Flick.
