Israel Ofori releases Wo Fata
Gospel singer, Israel Ofori, began 2025 on a good note with the release of My Everything in February, and in honour of the Easter celebrations, he dropped a new song titled, Wo Fata on Good Friday, April 18.
The new song is inspired by the bible verse of Revelation 5:9 which states, “And they sang a new song, saying: ‘You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God’s people from every tribe and language and people and nation,’”
The song, which calls believers to declare God’s worthiness, blends Israel’s rich vocals with rich instrumentation, creating an atmosphere of worship that echoes with believers worldwide.
Wo Fata sees Israel acknowledge God as his everything, thereby encouraging all Christians and the human race to see God as their source of existence since when one puts God first, everything aligns in their favour.
“Wo Fata is a song of deep devotion and was birthed from a place of gratitude and reverence to God. My prayer is that it becomes a tool for people to express their love and worship, drawing them closer to His presence.
“As Revelations 4:11 declares, ‘You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honour and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being’, I want to use this song to trumpet that there is no other god besides our Lord Jesus Christ,” he told Graphic Showbiz.
Israel mentioned that the song was available on all digital platforms, including Youtube, Boomplay, Spotify, Amazon, Apple music, Deezer and Tidal.
Israel started singing at church at the very young age of five, growing up at the Liberty Assemblies of God church, Akweteyman, in Accra.
In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Israel Ofori said his main aim of doing music was to win souls for the kingdom of God, and he is glad that had been achieved over the years.
Since 2023, Israel, who holds a degree in Management with Computing from Regent University and a vocal training certificate released Ene Wo after Aseda, featuring Yaw Sarpong , Asomafuo and Ebenezer.
