John Dumelo ties the knot (PHOTOS)

News of actor John Dumelo’s marriage to his sweetheart, Gifty Mawunya Nkornu, was certainly the biggest news over the weekend.

Had it not been for a few ‘gossips’ who leaked the news, the marriage would have gone quietly but as soon as it broke, it was all over the place. Well, true to the reports, the traditional marriage came off on Saturday at a location on the Spintex Road in Accra and it was a lovely ceremony.

The celebration brought out the stars including the former President, John Dramani Mahama, who enjoyed enormous support from the actor in the 2016 elections. Some of the Prince Bride actor’s colleagues who came out to support him included Prince David Osei, Yvonne Nelson, Yvonne Okoro, Fiifi Coleman, Kalsoume Sinare, Selassie Ibrahim, Jackie Appiah, Nadia Buari, Ekow Blankson, Shirley Frimpong Manso, Joselyn Dumas and Nigeria’s Ramsey Nouah.

Musicians were not left out of the big day as Edem, Coded and A Plus also rallied behind their brother. Controversial Counsellor, George Lutterodt made an appearance as well.

A Facebook profile of Dumelo’s wife indicates that she hails from Awudome Tsito in the Volta Region. She is a graduate of the Central University and an entrepreneur. She is the younger sister of actress, Selassie Ibrahim.
