His performance has been dubbed ‘A Night of Rock & Blues’ and he will be backed at the 8.00pm show by Abdulai Issakah (electric bass) and Frank Kissi (drums).

Bediiako was a well-known player here in the late 1970s and early 1980s when he put together what has been widely described as Africa’s first rock band.

Comprising himself with Asie Dee (drums), Abe Mensah (keyboards) and Paa Kwesi Arko (electric bass), a band Named Bediiako was a top-flight rock outfit that delighted fans across the country.

After the band’s demise, Bediiako went back to live and work in England as a music teacher and performer. He has plans to come back early next year to settle for good but wants to give music lovers here a taste of his brilliant guitar and vocal styles at +233 before going back.

Abdulai Issakah who will be on electric bass on the night, is an experienced guy. Bands he has played with over the years include Boom Talents, Border Guards Band, Ranches, Alpha Waves and Sumanguru.

Drummer Frank Kissi was adjudged Instrumentalist of the Year at the 2014 Ghana Music Awards.

He has played with nearly anyone who matters on the Ghanaian music scene such as Kojo Antwi, Lumba, Efya, Becca, Jane and Bernice, Rex Omar and Ofori Amponsah.

The three players will combine their talents for a night of rock and blues that can only be thrilling for fans.

Bediiako says they might play at a few other venues in the nation’s capital at dates to be announced soon.
