She played drums and led the Ghana Society float. “I had a great time showing the carnival-goers how Ghanaian culture has evolved over the years,” Miss Laryea said.

After Luton, she spent several days in London touring the city by bus and underground tube.

Apart from photo-opportunities at Buckingham Palace to see the changing of the guards and visits to Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus, Ms Laryea also paid a visit to former High Commissioner of Britain to Ghana, Mr. Peter Jones.

She later commented on how impressed she was with London’s cleanliness and efficient public transportation system.

The Miss Tourism runner-up ended her England trip back in Luton where she presented the Future Stars Award at the Luton Carnival Awards Night.

Meanwhile, the Miss Tourism Ghana Organisation has invited young women between the ages of 18 and 24 to register to become Ghana’s next Tourism Ambassador.

"We are not looking for a beauty queen. We are looking for the young woman that can be trained to best represent the nation's beauty," explained Delphine Brew- Hammond, the Director of Events and Operations for the Miss Tourism Ghana Organisation.
