The ‘Heroes of Change’ is a mission by the MTN Foundation to find and reward personalities who have provided selfless services to their communities.
Through some hard search, some heroes emerged from across the country and it is what they have been doing to better the lives of people in their areas that the Heroes of Change’ programme has been bringing to viewers over the last nine weeks.
A panel of judges will select those to be rewarded by MTN in certain specific categories, as well as the eventual overall winner.
The judges are Sidney Casely Hayford, a Chartered Accountant and business and financial analyst; Ibrahim Awal, founder and CEO of Marble Communications Group; Albert Ocran, an author and co-founder of Combert Impressions and Dr Doris Yaa Dartey, Chairperson of the board of directors of the Graphic Communications Group Limited.
The ninth episode of the ‘MTN Heroes of Change’ television series will be screened tomorrow, March 23.
The two people working to bring improvement in their communities to be featured are Ernest Ankomah, who is helping to improve literacy in some rural parts of the Volta Region and Johngay Akortia, who runs a school within the Nsawam Prison.
The ‘MTN Heroes of Change’ shows on Sundays on Crystal TV (7.30pm); Metro TV (8.00 pm); Multi TV (8.00 pm); eTV Ghana (8.00 pm) and TV Africa (8.30 pm).
