Nana Darkoa to read at Goethe-Institut
The Writers Project of Ghana (WPG) will at 7.00pm on Wednesday, June 28 present Ghanaian author, Nana Darkoa Sekyiamah, at its monthly book reading event dubbed ‘Ghana Voices Series’ at the Goethe-Institut in Accra.
Nana Darkoa writes across genres and has a wide variety of works to her credit. She is the editor of ‘Women Leading Africa: Conversations with Inspirational African Women’; the author of ‘Communications Handbook for Women’s Rights Organisations’ and co-author of ‘Creating Spaces and Amplifying Voices: The First Ten Years of the African Women's Development Fund’.
Her short stories have been published in anthologies around the world and she is also the co-founder of ‘Adventures from the Bedrooms of African Women’, an award-winning blog that focuses on African women, sex and sexuality.
The WPG is an international literary organisation based in Ghana and the United States that promotes literary culture in Africa and around the world.
Readers at its ‘Ghana Voices Series’ in the past have included Nii Ayikwei Parkes, Phillipa Yaa de Villiers, Martin Egblewogbe, Kofi Anyidoho, Malaka Grant and Kofi Akpabli.
