Nat Attoh: Let’s give Shatta Wale credit for filling the Accra Sports stadium
Since early hours of Monday, December 26, Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has been making headlines for filling the 40,000 capacity of the Accra Sports Stadium which held the second edition of Freedom Wave Concert on Christmas Day.
While many are applauding him and Medikal for making “history” by filling the stadium which many of his colleagues failed to achieve in the past, others are mocking him for charging low gate fees.
For such critics, there was nothing to applaud the Dancehall King hitmaker when he charged as low as 20 ghc but media personality, Nathaniel Attoh is very certain Shatta Wale deserves every credit for pulling off such crowd.

“I totally disagree. Do you know that Hearts v Kotoko matches are unable to fill the stadium sometimes with similar rates? Let’s give him credit. Fans don’t just turn up at hearing that an artiste will be performing.
“Remember these people have come from different places. Depending on where you live in the closest vicinity (osu) you may need transportation. So 20 ghc is not the least average cost per head,” he said.
