Odira Nwobu, a popular Nigerian actor and content creator, has tragically passed away in South Africa.
He was reportedly involved in a night out with friends, including comedian Chibuike Gabriel, also known as Untouchable, before suffering a hypertensive episode and collapsing upon returning to his hotel.
The heart-breaking news was confirmed by the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas.
According to Rollas, Odira was in South Africa for a work engagement alongside eight other influencers when he unexpectedly died on Monday, November 24.
An autopsy is being awaited to determine the exact cause of death, though early but unverified reports suggest he may have been battling high blood pressure.
Sadly, a photo he posted online only hours earlier would become his final public appearance.
Nwobu, known for his roles in over 60 Nollywood films, including "Joseph: The Dreamer", had recently survived a serious car accident in June 2025.
His death has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, with colleagues and fans paying tribute to the talented actor.
