Hiplife artiste, Theophilus Tagoe aka Castro, is said to have died in a jet ski accident at Ada.

Sources say he drowned in the Volta Lake while on a weekend getaway with Black Stars striker, Asamoah Gyan.

Gyan was taking his friends a boat cruise in Ada, when the accident occurred Sunday afternoon, according to the reports.

The Black Stars Captain usually rents out a yacht to accommodate close family members and friends whenever he is in town for holidays. But, according to Ghanasoccernet.com, the said yacht was unavailable this time around, as it had been sent out for repairs.

The group, therefore, resorted to using ski boats.

Jet Ski

A Jet Ski is a small self-propelled vehicle resembling a scooter, which skims across water and is steered by means of handlebars.

The top speed of a Jet Ski depends on the size of the engine and the weight of the riders and on an average, it reaches a speed of 80mph.

When speeding, the nose of a Jet Ski normally rises leaving the rear to dip a little while it skims the water. A second rider usually needs to hold fast to maintain a balance.

Castro and his lady friend Janet Bandu had a jet ski accident at Ada on July 6, 2013.
