Nollywood actor Kunle Remi slams IShowSpeed's Nigeria stop as worst Africa tour experience

Famous Nigerian movie star, Kunle Remi, has ranked Nigeria as the worst country that Ishowspeed has ever visited in Africa. The popular American streamer, Ishowspeed, visited Nigeria last week following his ongoing Africa tour.

However, reacting to the development, the actor while comparing Ishowspeed’s experience in Lagos to other African countries, said “Nigeria is the worst on my own list.”

Expressing concern over the value of Lagos cultural heritage, he raised alarm that clubs, fake drinks and begging have taken over the state.

Kunle Remi wrote on his Instagram story: “After watching Ishowspeed journey so far, Nigeria is the worst on my own list. We just really stripped Lagos naked. No be say anything dey under the clothes before sha.

“Seems like we’ve lost the essence of culture. Our truth! All we have is fake drinks, club & beggy beggy skills.”

IShowSpeed visited many locations that showcased Ghana’s cultural depth and tourism appeal including the Asenema Waterfall in Akropong, Independence Square, Accra, where he energised crowds at the Black Star Monument, Bukom Boxing Arena, and highlighting Ghana’s rich sporting heritage on his stop in the country.

He also had culinary experiences, including sampling Ghanaian jollof rice live on stream.

The streamer's enthusiastic reception in Ghana, including a traditional naming ceremony in Akropong, Eastern Region of Ghana, has sparked conversations about the power of digital influence in shaping perceptions and driving tourism growth.

“The GTA is already doing a lot and will also capitalise on the momentum generated by IShowSpeed's visit to attract more tourists and investors to Ghana, highlighting the country's unique cultural and natural attractions,” she stated.
