Not in movies for the money — Eunice Asiedu

An industry that for many players is dying; it’s not offering opportunities or income, is not one that people would naturally invest in, but for actress turned producer, Eunice Asiedu, the negatives are not enough to stop her from doing her bit in the make believe sector.

Many movie producers have left the industry to its fate and that is why Eunice’s decision to produce is quite surprising but she tells Showbiz, she is not in it for the money.

According to her, although she doesn’t want to make a total loss, enriching herself is not her motivation for going behind the lenses.

“I am not in it for the money at all even though it is right for anyone who invests into something to make profit. Mine is more of a passion and desire than making profit.

“If we should all run away from this then how do we sustain it? Who will rebuild it, who will make it better and where will the future of the industry be? Someone has to do something and that is why I chose to invest into the movie industry,” she said.

When asked what she intends to achieve she said, “I prefer the word impact.

I hope to impact the younger generation positively with employment opportunities as well as through entertainment.

“ I intend to make sure that all scripts that come from my end will have morals to change society while entertaining them.”

She also disclosed that she will continue to act, her new found passion for producing notwithstanding.
