What does it take for a mortal being to be a spokesperson for God? Is it one’s righteousness or fame?

This is what new gospel artiste, Patience Nyarko talks about on her debut album, Mekasa Ama Ewurade.

For one who has dedicated herself to propagating the word of God through her songs, the Kumasi-based singer said that she titled the album, Mekasa ama Ewurade for Christians to appreciate their worth as God’s vessels.

Produced by Roro, George Forest and Shadrack Yawson, the album will officially be  launched on Sunday, March 30  at the Great Fire Pentecostal International Ministry at Darkuman in Accra.

The eight track album has songs like Onipa Bohye, Mekasa Ama Ewurade and Menwu which earned her  nominations in three categories at the 2014 Ghana Music Awards.

She is in contention for awards in the Gospel Artiste of the  Year, Gospel Song of the Year  and Gospel Album of the Year categories.

Onipa Bohye tells people to put their trust in  God  alone while  Menwu encourages Christians to believe that God will grant them long life to declare His goodness.

“God is a Supreme Being  so we cannot be his ‘lawyers’ but he chooses people to work in his vineyard. This means we can defend the mission of God because we are His representatives here,” Patience says.

“ I have been disappointed many times by people but when I decided to put my trust in God, He has been my reliable source of hope.”

Patience’s advice to Christians is that they should lead lives  worthy of emulation.
