Nana Ohyeadwira, who is currently affiliated with the Presbyterian University, Ghana, was recognized for his unwavering dedication to mentoring and empowering the next generation of leaders within the student community.

The award citation from PUSAG highlighted Nana Ohyeadwira’s exceptional "wisdom, experience, and selfless commitment to student development," acknowledging the profound impact his guidance has had on both the institution and the students. His efforts in shaping student leaders, inspiring them to realize their full potential, and instilling values of excellence and perseverance were emphasized as pivotal.
"We honor your lifelong dedication to mentoring and guiding young minds, inspiring generations of student leaders to reach their full potential. Your tireless efforts to foster a culture of excellence, perseverance, and community service have left a lasting legacy in the hearts and minds of our student leaders," the citation read.

Nana Ohyeadwira, who at 69 years old is also a successful businessman, shared his gratitude and reflections during his acceptance speech. He expressed his pride in being a student at the Presbyterian University, Ghana’s Agogo campus and being part of PUSAG. He acknowledged the challenges he faced in balancing his studies with his responsibilities as a businessman, yet spoke fondly of his time on campus, particularly his interactions with younger students who welcomed him with respect and joy.

"Thank you for the honor of presenting me with this citation. I am proud to pursue the PA course at the Presbyterian University of Ghana, Agogo campus and therefore belonging to this envious Association. I am grateful to those who considered me a deserving recipient of this recognition. It hasn't been easy for me at 69 years old, and, as a successful businessman, to leave my family, business, and close associates to live on the university campus as a regular student for a continuous four-year course. Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable experience mingling with the youth who showed great respect and happiness to have me with them," he remarked.

He further encouraged the youth, particularly those facing extreme difficulties in their academic journeys, to never lose hope. "I want to encourage the youth, especially those who face extreme difficulties in school life, to never lose hope, because their hard work and dedication will be crowned with success. It's never too late, as you can achieve it," he advised.

Nana Ohyeadwira dedicated the award to his family, his 2023 classmates at PUG, the lecturers who supported him, and the healthcare professionals at Agogo Presbyterian Hospital who guided him through his studies. He also expressed a deep sense of camaraderie with the students of PUG, many of whom he considers as his own children, nieces, and nephews, reflecting on how much he misses them.

In closing, Nana Ohyeadwira thanked everyone present, stating, "Mr. President, honorable guests, fellow students, ladies and gentlemen, thank you for this recognition and appreciation."
