Stonebwoy, MzVee in ‘thank you’ concert

After being declared the Artiste of the Year at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA), it seems dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy, has not relented in expressing his appreciation to the public for the “show of love”.

He is showing more appreciation with a concert on Friday, May 1, at the Tema Sports stadium to bring his followers, especaially those in Tema and Ashaiman where he has lived all his life together to celebrate his success.. 

The concert dubbed, Ultimate Concert, a collaboration between Quallos Production and Bhim Nation will also feature other artistes which include MzVee, EL, D Black, Edem, Vybrant Faya, Irene Logan and Massani.

In an interview with Showbiz on Monday, Stonebwoy said the concert will preceed his Bhim Nation tour for this year. He began the tour last year in the Volta Region.

“I will resume the tour after the concert. I don’t have silver or gold to give my fans. All I can give is to reciprocate the love they have shown to me all this while that is why we are doing this concert. To whom much is given, much is expected so I hope to work hard to maintain my new status as the Artiste of the Year,” he said.

Stonebwoy is known for songs such as Ghetto Love, Can’t Cool, Baafira, Bhim Nation, Love Rocks, Pull Up, Spreading Up and Climax. 

Other awards he has under his belt include Best Collaboration at the 2014 Bass Awards and  Best Dancehall Song at the recently held VGMA.

On the part of Mr. Evans Eluerkeh, CEO of Quallos Production, his outfit collaborated with Stonebwoy on the Ultimate Concert to bring “quality entertainment to the doorstep of residents of Tema and its environs.

“My team and I are dedicated to ensuring that Tema stays relevant in the entertainment industry and gets their equal share of the entertainment pie.

“ I am without doubt that those who love good music will have a good time at the show,” he said.
