Tagoe Sisters to stage live concerts to mark 40 years in gospel music industry
Ghanaian Gospel music legends, the Tagoe Sisters, have announced that they will be celebrating their 40th anniversary in the industry with a series of live concerts.
The concerts will take place between September and October 2023, with the first concert scheduled to take place on September 23, 2023, at the Grand Arena in Accra.

The anniversary celebration, dubbed ‘Tagoe Sisters @40’, will also include a fundraising and dinner night on September 30, 2023, at the Gold Coast Kempinski Hotel.
The same activities will be replicated in the Ashanti Region, with a concert on October 2, 2023, and a fundraising dinner on October 23, 2023.
The duo will be inviting notable Ghanaians, including former and current presidents, CEOs of businesses, and other prominent personalities, to grace the occasion.
This was announced at a press launch held in Accra on Thursday, April 13, 2023.
As per Linmart Media Solutions, the Tagoe Sisters are scheduled to visit distinguished personalities including President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, former presidents John Dramani Mahama and John Agyekum Kufour, the Chairman of the Council of State, and the Asantehene Otumfuor Osei Tutu II, along with CEOs of businesses and other notable figures, to invite them personally to attend their upcoming events.
Moreover, the sisters will also make a visit to orphanages in both regions to contribute by donating items and spreading joy to the less privileged and mothers.

At the launch event, Madam Joyce Aryee, the Chairperson, referred to the Tagoe Sisters as a valuable blessing to the world and urged fellow musicians to follow in their footsteps. The launch event was attended by various celebrities and dignitaries, including Rev. Yawson, Cyndy Thompson, Ophelia Nyantakyi, Mary Gyansah, Perez Music, Opiesie Easther, and many others.
The duo are twins known in real life as Lydia Dedei Yawson Nee Tagoe and Elizabeth Korkoi Tagoe, have been in the gospel music industry since 1983 and are celebrated for hit songs such as ‘Yedi Nkunim’, Fa Bibiara Mano’,’ Menya Yesu, ‘Akamafo Jesus’, ‘Orekyikye, and many others.
