Third edition of Graphic Showbiz Forum comes off on July 25
A number of players in Ghana’s movie industry will lead important conversations at the third edition of Graphic Showbiz Forum slated for the MultiChoice Ghana Head office in Accra on Tuesday, July 25.
Themed, “Future of Ghana Movie Industry, Bright or Bleak?” the upcoming event which is a partnership between Graphic Showbiz and Multichoice Ghana is intended to highlight the potentials and current challenges of Ghana’s Movie Industry.

Key speakers for the forum are George Bosompim, a lecturer at National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI) and Public Relations Officer of The Ghana Academy of Film and Television Arts (GAFTA), Peter Sedufia , a film director and CEO of Oldfilms Productions.
The others are Ivan Quashigah, Film Producer and CEO of Farm House Productions and Actor Prince David Osei.
The event will be moderated by Media and Communications consultant, Francis Doku.
In separate interviews with Graphic Showbiz, the speakers said they were ready to contribute their knowledge to the progress of the movie industry.
According to George Bosompim, the forum will provide the platform to educate filmmakers about government policies as well as role of creatives in the movie industry.
With over 17 years’ experience in the movie industry as an actor, Prince David Osei is certain that the platform will be a fruitful avenue to make relevant contributions to the movie industry.

“Having been actively engaged in the movie fraternity for many years, I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experiences that I am eager to share with fellow actors. I am confident that I can address the questions and concerns that actors commonly have, as well as provide valuable insights and advice to aspiring actors.
“One aspect that I would particularly emphasise during the forum is the importance of discipline in the pursuit of consistent and long-term success in the industry. I am excited about the prospect of exchanging ideas, learning from others, and contributing to the growth and development of the acting community,” he said.
The upcoming forum is the third organised by Graphic Showbiz after the maiden event in 2020 themed, “Moving from promises to action, a discussion of party manifestos on the creative industry.”
The second edition held under the theme, “Maximising the Benefits of Digitisation in the COVID -19 era” was in 2021.
