‘True wealth is marriage because companionship is biblical’, says Hollywood actor Tyrese Gibson

In a recent appearance on the Club Shay Shay podcast, American actor Tyrese Gibson shared his perspective on marriage, defining it as "true wealth".

He noted that high-achieving individuals, such as power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z, have grasped the notion that a strong and successful marriage is the ultimate form of wealth, surpassing material possessions and professional accomplishments. 

Gibson said, “True wealth is marriage. Jay-Z and Beyoncé understand that. Nobody needs to go home to a vibrator. Nobody needs to be alone. Nobody should be alone. This concept of being alone is bullsh*t!

“Because most of your favourite female singers who are out here singing these songs are going home to their man, fiancé, or husband… Nobody wants to be alone. Companionship is biblical. Marriage is very important.”

The actor has been married and divorced twice. He was married to Norma Mitchell from 2007 to 2009. In 2017, he married Samantha Lee, but their union hit the rocks in 2020.
