VocalEssence chorale donates to Nii Okai’s Saving Hearts foundation
VocalEssence Chorale, an interdenominational choir have raised a sum of GHS 50,000 to support Nii Okai’s Saving Hearts Foundation (NOSHF).
The donation was in commemoration of their10th anniversary to celebrate God for great impact in the Kingdom and Ghanaian music industry.

According to Reverend Ernest Nii-Okai Okai, founder of NOSHF, the Saving Hearts Project, now a Foundation, was birthed in year 2013 to say thank you to God for 10 years of ‘Moko Be’, his debut album.
It has since with support from various partners, raised funds and funded twenty-five (25) heart surgeries for needy Ghanaian children.
The current target was to raise funds for 25 more surgeries. He added that the donation from VocalEssence would go a long way to support the fundraising efforts of NOSHF.
Group Captain Rosalind Asiedu, who is the patron and sponsorship co-ordinator of VocalEssence Chorale said they do yearly donations from proceeds from their yearly concert dubbed ‘Ayeyi Ndwom’.
“VocalEssence Chorale aims at touching lives through the message in our beautiful songs and through our campaign to support many worthy social causes.
“We are grateful to partner Nii Okai’s Saving Hearts during our 10th anniversary to raise funds to support his Foundation. We believe our sermons come alive through these social causes we embark on,” added Mr. Andrew Addy, Executive Director of Vocal Essence Chorale.

Their kind donation was received by Lady Yaa Okai during a recent NOM Town Hall Meeting held at Chase lounge in Tema. Present at the meeting were Mrs. Abla Masoperh, NOM Board, Pastor Kwame Amihere, NOSHF Council, the NOM Mission Team, and an eight-member team from VocalEssence Chorale including their Anniversary Committee Chairperson, Rebecca Mannoh and Administrator, Ernest Omari.
NOM’s Head of Finance and Development, Mr. Richard Nii Addo informed the gathering that “NOSHF will continue to partner with the Child Health Department of Korle-bu Teaching Hospital to screen for heart-related diseases amongst children within schools in the Korle-bu vicinity to commemorate World Hearts Day on September 29.
We shall also partner with the UGMC and their partners from Kinderherzen-Germany and Boston Team-USA to sponsor some open-heart surgeries for selected beneficiaries. We also call on all with a heart of gold to join us in saving hearts’”, he stated.
