Work hard, enjoy your own money—Obibini to female celebs
Ghanaian rapper Kwaku Boafo, popularly known as Obibini, has advised female celebrities to work hard and enjoy their own money instead of taking the easy way out by dating ‘big’ men.
“It is fulfilling if you work hard and enjoy your money. You are careful when you spend the money you work for but that cannot be said of some of our female celebs lately,” he said.
According to Obibini, celebs served as role models and it was wrong for some of them to come on social media to tell young ladies to use what they had to get what they wanted.
“I really admire a female celebrity who is always championing a good cause. Mind you, these young ones look up to whatever we do on social media and if we don’t impact them positively, they will go astray,” he said.

Obibini explained that to become a celebrity with a lot of followers did not just happen in a day and once they gathered a huge fan base, the best thing for them to do was to impact their fans positively.
“It surprises me when I see a female celeb with so a lot of following who cannot use that to her advantage. They can sell any product of their choice or organise some seminars for the youth to benefit from but it is unfortunate that is not what we see with some of our so-called female celebrities,” he indicated.
Obibini said he always advised female celebs to see young ladies as their daughters or sisters and offer them the best training.
To bring sanity into the entertainment industry, Obibini advised that there should be a rule where the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture could ban any celebrity who misbehaved for some time.
“Such a celebrity will not be allowed to come on social media or engage in any activity related to his or her work. With that I believe we will comport ourselves,” he said.
