No slowing down yet, even as KSM turns 60 today

The undisputed king of comedy and host of The KSM Show, Kwaku Sintim-Misa poplularly known as KSM is 60 years old today and if anyone thought that he is retiring anytime soon, then they got it all wrong because he still has a lot up his sleeves.

For KSM, retirement is out of the question, “Eventually I will be passing the baton to younger people at Sapphire but I will still have a lot on my hands as far as content development is concerned and I will also try and impact as much knowledge as possible,” he stressed.

The obviously excited KSM told Showbiz he is very happy and grateful to God for how far He has brought him, “first of all, I am really really thankful to God that I still have all my energy, it feels very good. I go for walks every morning so healthwise I must say I am very healthy and grateful to God for that,” he said.

Aside his health, KSM says his creative faculty is still very alert, “I am writing scripts and also coming up with Sapphire Television which is going online. I am also going to spend more time educating the youth so I will try and turn my mentoring gear into overdrive,” he said amidst laughter.

KSM also disclosed that he will be setting up a Creative Arts Academy, “When I hand over, I will concentrate on managing talents and grooming talents.”

As part of his birthday celebration, KSM is organising a walk up the Aburi Mountains dubbed Hilke with Me, KSM @ 60. This comes off on Saturday, December 10.

“The meeting point is the Ayi Mensah Police Station at 5.30 am, we will set off at 6am sharp and end up at the Tavern Lodge where we will hang out and have fun. That is my way of saying thank you to God that I am still alive and kicking, I am very happy, I feel very energetic” he said.

Aside that, KSM said there will be a landmark performance at a yet-to-be-disclosed date which will be a fundraiser for the Child Cancer Department of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, “the least one would pay to get in is only GHc10.00 but you can pay as much as you want to, I want to create awareness about Child Cancer and also support the department.”

“I am hoping to attract lots of celebrities and other dignitaries all in support of a worthy cause,” he said.
