4-storey Nyaniba Estates building not in accord with regulatory, safety requirements
Since February 2023, my family has been engaging three state institutions to ensure that the builders of a four-storey commercial building, near our house, adhere to the building rules and regulations.
The institutions are the State Housing Corporation, La Dadekotopon Municipal Assembly and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The building under construction is very close and runs against the wall of our property at Nyaniba Estates, GL 0308074.
However, as the engagements were ongoing, the builders rather sped up the construction works.
There is already a 3-storey mall on the same plot of land.
A few years ago, there was fire in this property and my family and I felt the heat in our compound.
The structure sits like a sentry post along our fence, making it easy for anyone to enter our compound.
Also the construction blocks breeze into our home; its placement makes it also difficult for fire trucks to manoeuvre if there is a fire in our house.

We hope those responsible will act when they read this letter.
