Guan constituency's Mike Osibo; the grassroots' favourite leader
Mr. Mike Osibo, the grassroots' favourite leader, is making waves in the Oti region's much-talked-about Guan constituency.
Mr. Osibo, a plant engineer from Likpe Mate, has been a committed political contributor for about thirty years, and his long-standing commitment to the realization of the Oti region and subsequent creation of the Guan district is evident.

Mr. Osibo has held various positions throughout his career, including polling station officer in Likpe Mate in 1996, constituency youth organizer in Hohoe from 1997 to 2001, and political officer at the National Youth Wing Secretariat from 1998 to 2000.
In 2005, he was an aspirant for the Volta Regional Organizer position, and from 2006 to 2010, he served as an assemblyman for the Likpe Mate electoral area.
In 2014, he was elected as the first Vice Chairman for the Hohoe Constituency and became a Parliamentary Candidate Hopeful for the same constituency in 2015.
In 2016, Mr. Osibo became a leading member of AFONA, a voluntary campaign group, and in 2018, he was appointed a member of the Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) for the chiefs and people of Oti.
Also, he was the Campaign Manager for Santrokofi, Akpafu, Lolobi, Likpe (SALL) during the successful crucial 2018 referendum to carve Oti region out of Volta region.
It is no wonder that Osibo's name sends shivers down the spine of anyone dreaming of the historic Guan constituency parliamentary seat.
