Improper migration has made library authority staff worse off
Good salaries and incentives really count in every growing institution.
If salaries and incentives of a job are good, the job attracts a lot of skilled personnel.

Unfortunately, the Ghana Library Authority was not lucky when its staff were being migrated unto the new salary structure, that is the Single Spine Pay Policy.
This new structure ended up reducing grades and salaries of staff.
It led to some staff resigning from work, while others are now reluctant to work harder.
Are some government institutions better than others?
Why should a degree holder working in institution 'A' receive higher salary than a degree holder working in institution 'B'?
If a worker's low salary is further reduced in this so called migration exercise, should the worker work or quit?

Please, I call on the leadership of the Ghana Library Authority, together with the government, to do all within their power to solve this problem and save the institution.
