Marching towards skilled nation

It has been seven long weeks since I escaped to Kumasi for the weekend come Friday evenings. If a soothsayer had predicted this when I relocated to Accra in 2017, I would have laughed in his face.


This past weekend, however, a number of issues, both official and personal, came to a confluence and gave me a convenient ‘excuse’, if I ever needed one, to head for Oseikrom, as Kumasi natives like to refer to their city.

Of course, amid the flurry of activity, there was enough time to enjoy an authentic fufu experience and sample some night life.

On Friday, a colourful graduation ceremony took place at the Abbey’s Park Community Centre in Ashanti New Town, with the Mayor of Kumasi, Sam Pyne, GETFund Administrator, Dr Richard Boadu, the Director-General of Commission on TVET (CTVET), Dr Fred Kyei Asamoah, and other dignitaries in attendance.
