Final week for Pistorius prosecution

The murder trial of South African athlete Oscar Pistorius has entered its fourth week.

The prosecution is expected to wrap up its case this week, with Mr Pistorius himself expected to testify later.

On Sunday the trial was extended and will now run until the middle of May.

Mr Pistorius denies intentionally shooting his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine's Day last year, saying he mistook her for an intruder.

Prosecution lawyer Gerrie Nel said last week that his team would call five more witnesses before completing its evidence.

The defence team, led by Barry Roux, will then call upon its own witnesses, including Mr Pistorius himself.
