Manchester United and Adidas unveil 2026/27 home kit inspired by 1977 FA Cup triumph

Manchester United have officially unveiled their new home kit for the 2026/27 season, designed and manufactured by Adidas.

The new kit combines the club’s rich heritage with a modern design, drawing inspiration from the iconic shirts worn during United’s 1977 FA Cup-winning campaign, which marks its 50th anniversary in 2027.

The jersey features a clean red base complemented by a classic polo collar and striped sleeve cuffs, delivering a refined and unmistakably traditional United appearance.

White accents on the adidas three stripes and branding contrast sharply with the red body, while subtle black detailing reinforces the club’s classic colours.

The full home strip is completed with white shorts and black socks, maintaining the club’s iconic look. A “United” sign-off on the back of the neck adds a finishing touch to the design.

According to adidas, the jersey blends nostalgia with innovation through a contemporary construction tailored for elite performance. The kit incorporates lightweight body-mapped 3D engineered fabrics to improve fit and movement on the pitch.

It also features adidas’ latest CLIMACOOL+ technology, designed to wick away sweat quickly and keep players dry during matches. Perforated three-stripe tapes and strategically positioned mesh zones further enhance breathability and ventilation.
