China-based Denton Law Firm has pledged to support the Ghana Embassy in Beijing with legal expertise as part of a broader effort to deepen bilateral economic cooperation and enhance Ghana’s investment prospects.
The commitment follows a meeting held over the weekend between Ghana’s Ambassador to China, Kojo Bonsu, and Mr Xiao Jinquan, Founder and Leader of Denton, one of China’s leading law firms.

The discussions centred on ways the firm could assist the Embassy with legal advice in China to help unlock new investment opportunities in real estate, logistics and energy. Officials said the talks highlighted the scale of potential for Ghana to attract foreign capital as it works to accelerate economic growth.
Mr Xiao Jinquan reaffirmed the firm’s readiness to help shape stronger economic ties between the two countries. He stated that Denton would provide its legal services to the Embassy at no cost. “We are eager to be a trusted partner as Ghana builds relationships and attracts foreign capital, fostering a conducive environment for business and investment,” he said.
Ambassador Bonsu and Mr Xiao agreed to develop a cordial working relationship to identify concrete avenues for collaboration and maintain open channels of communication.
According to officials, this emerging partnership is expected to make a meaningful contribution to Ghana’s legal framework for investment and support the country’s broader development agenda.
