Junior Graphic Fun Fair on Saturday
This year’s Junior Graphic Fun Fair organised for children by the Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL) will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the Aviation Social Centre in Accra.
The fun fair is to give children the opportunity to meet friends, make new ones and enjoy themselves after a year of serious schoolwork.

The Editor of Junior Graphic, Mrs Mavis Kitcher, explained that though the fun fair is to “allow children to let themselves go it also offers them the opportunity to engage in activities that will enable them to learn while they play.”
She said over the years, the fair had enabled children to exhibit their talents, actively engage in sports as well as read and compete in spelling drills.
During the last fun fair, for instance, she said, the Junior Graphic Spelling Competition climaxed the fair as members of the paper’s fan clubs fiercely engaged in a spelling contest, which was won by the Kabore School in Ho in the Volta Region.
She has promised that this year’s would not be an exception as lots of games have been planned and encouraged all children to attend.
She said “our readers are very important to us and since we serve children, we have made ourselves available to them, adding that “there will be bouncy castles, face painting, five aside, volley and basket ball competitions.”
Other activities slated for the event are poetry recitals, cultural displays and Salsa dance.
