Schools end term with graduation ceremonies
A number of schools in Accra have held graduation ceremonies for pupils and students to end the 2021/2022 academic year.
The graduands were mostly Kindergarten Two and Class Six pupils, as well as 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates.

The learners entertained invited guests with poetry recitals, choreography displays, songs, cultural dances, among others.
Pupils and students who excelled in various disciplines within the academic year were awarded while hardworking staff were rewarded for their services.
At the Basilikos Oak Academy, Oyarifa, Mavis Akorfa Semakor reports that the Ayawaso East Municipal Director of Education, Mrs Adisa Tassa, urged parents to continue to invest in the education of their children by paying their school fees promptly and buying them textbooks to assist them in their academic work.

She said that the only thing parents could offer their children was quality education, which would help in making them independent in the future when they (parents) were not around.
She encouraged the schoolchildren to study hard so as to harness their potential.
A graduand of the Falsyd Foundation School at New Achimota, Miss Efua Koomson, became the star of the day when she received six different awards during the school's graduation and awards ceremony in Accra, Perpetual Koomson writes.
She took awards for her outstanding performance in Mathematics, English Language, Religious and Moral Education (RME), Social Studies, Science, and Ghanaian Language (GA).
Other deserving students also received
awards for excelling in various disciplines within the academic year. Forty-six schoolchildren, comprising 19 Kindergarten Two pupils and 27 junior high school students, graduated from the school.
Mavis Akorfa Semakor further reports that 25 Kindergarten Two pupils and five Basic Six students graduated at the Veritas Liberat Montessori School in Anyaa, with a call on parents to minimise their spending in order to have enough money to take care of the school needs of their children.
The Headmaster of the school, Mr Seth Obrampong, who made this call, also advised parents to enroll their children in other educational programmes, since it helped them become analytical thinkers.
At the Sunflower School, North Kaneshie, 164 schoolchildren graduated. The administrator of the school, Mrs Ama Kye Sasu asked parents to monitor the time their children use electronic gadgets at home so that it does not distract them from their academic work.
She also advised the graduands to stick to the moral values they have been taught at school to become responsible adults in the future.
