St John’s Grammar School shows class in Inter-school hockey competition

The St John’s Grammar School displayed splendid skills in hockey when they emerged winners of this year’s Greater Accra Inter-school Hockey Competition played at the Theodosia Okoh National Hockey Pitch in Accra.

The keenly contested one-day event saw the school winning both the Boys and Girls Categories after outclassing 16 other senior high schools.

The Ebenezer Senior High School was the runner’s up in the Boys Category with the Presbyterian Senior High School at Teshie placing third.

In the girl's event, the St Mary’s Senior High School placed second, while the Tema Senior High School came third.

A total of 18 SHSs took part in the bi-annual competition to select players for the Greater Accra Regional Hockey Team for the forthcoming inter-regional sports festival.

The inter-regional sports festival will be held in Cape Coast this year. 

Two years ago, the festival was held in Wa in the Upper West Region.
