Boatemaa is Miss Akwaaba 2024

It was a tightly fought battle with Naa Adjeley on the final night of the 13-week competition that focused on Ghanaian culture and tourism. Boatemaa, however, managed to snatch the crown with the accompanying prize of a Toyota Vitz saloon car and GH₵10,000. Naa Borkor, Miss Akwaaba 2023, was on hand to help crown the new winner.

Naa Adjeley placed second with Mina Aba clinching the third slot. They received GH₵7,000 and GH₵5,000 respectively as their prizes. The three ladies were also each presented with paintings by Sharon Dede Padi of Padiki Art Gallery. In addition, they will enjoy a weekend stay at the Volta Hotel, Akosombo.

Mr Joe Osae, CEO of Ceejay Multimedia, the company which organised the pageant, congratulated the seven finalists of this year’s Miss Akwaaba and had some words of praise for the 10 other contestants who couldn’t make it to the grand finale.

He urged young women out there to always try and take advantage of worthy reality shows such as Miss Akwaaba when the opportunity beckons, to broaden their outlook on life and also potentially win some superb prizes.

Mr Osae expressed appreciation to all outfits that partnered with Ceejay Multimedia to make Miss Akwaaba 2024 a reality, including Dodi World and Volta Hotel, Akosombo; Twellium Industrial Co. Ltd., Padiki Art Gallery and the Akwaaba Festival Project.

We thank the National Commission on Culture and the Ghana Tourism Authority for endorsing the pageant. Our thanks also go to the loyal viewers of the Miss Akwaaba show. We are grateful to you for being with us throughout the 13 weeks of the programme. We hope to bring you some more in the coming years,” the Ceejay Multimedia CEO addeds.
