Around the world, the day is celebrated on different dates, though the day is celebrated in a similar manner, usually involving giving gifts to fathers and family activities.

The most popular date for Fathers Day is the third Sunday in June. This date was first observed in the USA and has since been adopted by Ghana and many other countries.

In Spain, Italy and Portugal, Fathers Day is celebrated on March 19, which is the Feast of St. Joseph who is the patron saint of fathers.

As we all know, a special day like this must be marked in a grand style by showing your father how much you appreciate him and celebrating him with the best things.

There are so many things you can give to you father. It all depends on the weight of your pocket and how much you intend to spend to make the day a memorable one.

For us here at The Mirror, we are organising a surprise package on behalf of people for their dads.

Dubbed ‘Pamper your Dad’ you can join the train to enable us to deliver a packed lunch and hampers to your dad or godfathers to make the day a memorable one.

Besides, if you are the type who do not have any gift idea, you can get your dad some beautiful shirts, neckties, shoes, boxers, socks, sunglasses, power banks, digital fitness watches, perfumes, chocolates, cakes, among others.

Some fathers have peculiar needs and this is the time to make them happy by changing their faulty mobile phones for instance or getting them a new medicated glasses.

Remember that a gift shows how much you appreciate your dad.

There is still a day more to go so just go out there and grab something for him.
