The Senior Deputy Chair of the International Human Rights Commission (IHRC), Ambassador Dr Abu Zein, has paid a courtesy call on the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, at his residence in Accra.
The visit was to show respect and seek the Imam’s blessings.
In their discussions, Dr Zein touched on business development and national issues, with a particular focus on community upliftment and social welfare. Sheikh Dr Osman offered his guidance on fostering peace and unity within the nation.
Dr Zein commended the Chief Imam for his remarkable contributions to national development and Islamic leadership, noting his consistent efforts in promoting human rights and development both in Ghana and beyond.
He also conveyed IHRC’s readiness to collaborate with the Office of the National Chief Imam to further advance human rights initiatives and promote peaceful coexistence across religious and social groups.
Dr Zein expressed gratitude for the Imam’s continued advocacy and humbly requested his prayers for the ongoing development of Ghana.
